Our History

Laser Registration is a privately owned full-service registration and housing company. Founded in 1989, Laser Registration’s mission is to create and develop innovative solutions for meeting organizers, participants and exhibitors. Our goal is to have a global, positive impact on large events by providing one-stop services that make event planning easier, exhibiting more rewarding and attending more productive.

As a whole, the organization employs 130 staff and services over 300 events annually with offices in Las Vegas, NV, Washington, DC, Toronto, Ontario and Montreal, Quebec. Over the past 20 years, Laser Registration has been involved in some of the most prestigious events hosted by organizations from the United States, Canada and abroad. Our experience covers meetings in a variety of industries and with various levels of involvement.

Our unique range of services seamlessly interface and integrate into one another, offering organizers of large conventions, meetings and trade shows a true one-stop solution that has been fully developed in-house. We’ve proven ourselves to be a reliable partner to our clients through dedication to great people, great software and great hardware.

Our Management Team

Martin d’Amours – President
Martin brings 20 years of international experience in executive management, operations, sales, marketing and product management and development to the organization. As a member of the board of directors of Laser Registration for 10 years, Martin has in-depth knowledge of the convention and tradeshow industry.

Tony A. Melis – Vice President, Business Development
Since 1994, Tony has been responsible for the business development of Laser Registration and has spearheaded the movement and growth of Laser Registration into the association and non-profit market. Tony leads the development and market positioning of Laser Registration’s current as well as future products and services.

Simon Harris – Vice President, Operations
Simon brings extensive hands-on experience in meetings operations and logistics, product and service development, client services and program planning to Laser Registration. With Laser since 2000, he has overseen the development and implementation of RFID technology into Laser offering, streamlined lead retrieval processes into one of the industry’s most efficient. He currently oversees the implementation of Laser’s “Total Customer Service” concept: a customer service concept that balances excellence, efficiency, and creativity.

Julie Romanetti – Director, Housing
Julie has been a member of the Laser Registration family since 1998. Julie has held several roles within Laser which has enabled her to become a strong member of our team. Her vast registration and housing management experience combined with her technical competencies serve her well as Director of Housing
