RFID

Integrating Cutting Edge Technology

Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID) is an automatic identification technology whereby digital data encoded in a tag or “RFID Tag” affixed to a name badge, is captured by RFID antennas. RFID technology offers powerful benefits over other data carriers. It is reliable, fast, secure and versatile.

Pioneers of RFID technology in the convention industry

As a pioneer in the field of RFID technology, we are committed to integrating RFID technology into all our services. RFID is now fully integrated into all onsite operations: from attendance tracking to lead retrieval, to CE Tracking. We provide attendees, exhibitors and organizers with the full range of benefits this technology has to offer.

Integrating cutting edge technology

RFID technology offers powerful benefits over other data carriers. It is reliable, fast, secure and versatile. Laser Registration offers two types of RFID technologies:
  • Short-Range RFID Technology: Short-Range RFID technology reads RFID name badges from several inches away. Short-range RFID can be used for lead retrieval, CE tracking, automated access to message center and CE Tracker, electronic ticketing, access control and much more.

  • Long-Range RFID Technology: Long-Range RFID technology can read RFID name badges up to 10 feet. It can be used for transparent attendance tracking, tracking of attendance to high volume areas such as the exhibit hall, live attendance tracking at general sessions and creating excitement at your event by using RFID-enabled welcome screens that greet attendees by name.
RFID integrated into onsite operations

Laser Registration has the experience and knowhow to easily integrate RFID into onsite operations—from the distribution and encoding of RFID-enabled name badges, to the set-up and maintenance of onsite RFID equipment to onsite technical support.

Post-event reporting

A variety of reports can be produced from the data generated using RFID technology. This may include such reports as:
  • Detailed attendance report
  • Custom analysis of RFID data collected (attendance patterns based on various criteria such as registration category, title, degree, specialty or any other variable captured on the registration form)
  • Actual tradeshow attendance
  • Tradeshow traffic flow over time
  • Traffic flow by registration category
  • Cross reference against a variety of data collected from the registration form (first-time attendee, purchase-power traffic on show floor over time, peak attendance on show floor (by specific variable)
